I was at the Firehose when the Downtown Police station called in for more Firefighters.
When they called me they said “The Second Tower fell” so I had to get up immediately and get suited up.I slid down the pole to the Truck I and my whole crew gets inside the Truck ready to roll. We open the garage and pulled out and there was Debris everywhere. We was driving down the streets with our sirens on and there were People running and screaming everywhere and banning on the Truck.
After about a 35min drive we arrived we put on or oxygen tank before we got out. We stepped out the truck and looked around for anyone on the ground who needed help or anything after a couple min of looking and waiting on big pieces of debris to fall and some of the smoke could clear. We started heading towards the towers Me and the crew turned our flashlights on and started looking and calling out for people.

My team started walking towards the fallen Twin Towers and looking right and left for signs of life.
After taking a couple steps forward. We heard people calling for help so we ran towards the sound and was looking through the Rubble we seen a lady's hand and we aid it will be okay and we were able to pull her out and bring her back to safety to an ambulance by the time we came back most of the dust and smoke was gone. We went out searching again and we never heard anyone or anything, But what we did find was a pole a flag pole we went back to the truck and took that flag and put it on the pole and raised it.That was a long, hard, and said day what I just experienced will become
The issue lies in the decline of the city. With the population shrinking from what it once was, industry moving away, and the highest rate of unemployment in the country, it may not be completely shocking that the whole metropolitan area has trouble keeping up. Amount of vacant buildings is on the rise and number of firefighters, and funding for fire departments, are on the decline. Emergency responder response time was once abysmal, and although it has improved with some effort, the city still has room for improvements elsewhere. It has to be hard to keep pace with a city that has a burnt down building on every other block, while fire stations are closing, staffing is not improving, and fire hydrants are falling into disrepair.
Think of the most beautiful city in world. You are walking the streets, taking in the scenery in complete admiration of a city built by men. Then one day you go to sleep, a few hours later you awaken, and that beautiful city is completely destroyed. The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 was one of the largest disasters in American history (“The Great Chicago”). After many failed attempts to put out the fire, people were left homeless and helpless to rebuild their city. Thankfully, after every tragedy there is always a recovery.
In A final thought if the government agencies would have followed up on what there supposed to do ; this might of saved some lives. They also should not take all the blame for this though. If the landlord was having such a problem with tenant. He should of contacted the proper authorities and had him removed or correct the fire hazards. Unfortunately it takes thing like this two happen before laws are enforced or corrected.
After about an hour or two, many we’re exhausted. But, I wasn't. I knew if I could help and save others from this incident it would help me out ALOT! I have cleared out the whole block. House through house. But we had one more house to clear. But you could hear a kid screaming with a terrified voice. We walked upstairs hopefully knowing he would be in there. Captain and I walked in on the kid sitting there screaming for help. His name was Alex Martinez. He had been alone. We eventually took him down to truck and gave him oxygen to relax. His dad and mom came with biggest smile and hugged him with joy. BUt enough said. We moved on into the city and then there came a burning building with the address of 1109 s. clement ave.
My adrenaline has skyrocketed at this point, knowing that I could die at any minute. There was already units inside, while we were going in, and the Chiefs were trying to get everything under control, which could only be seen as impossible with what was going on. At some point, we were told to not worry about fighting the fires, and to just get as many people out of the building as possible. As we were going up into the building, each floor was more damaged and dangerous than the ones below us. Awful aviation smells, fires, and debris everywhere. Trying as hard as we could to get people outside, we felt something that kind of seemed like an earthquake and panic was never ending- What we felt was the South Tower collapsing. With no power, we only had our lights to guide people out of the building. We couldn’t find anybody else in the building, and we got back down as quickly as we could without getting hurt. Only minutes after we got out, the North Tower came down right behind us. At about 9:30 AM, another plane had crashed into the Pentagon, and everyone inside the White House was evacuated to safety, just in case a plane was to fly into it as
“Contact the control tower and request an emergency landing at once, clear the runway of any other planes and get the fire emergency team ready at once! We may not be able to control the plane even if we do get it down.”
to the hospital then started treating John's ankle. As John sat in the car a firefighter walked up to him
By the time we got on scene I had pretty much forgot about everything that had happened with my Lieutenant. We both stepped out of the truck grabbed our tools and made our way to the front door. He advised me that I would be going in with him to search for fire on the second floor. It was my job to trust him, to believe in him and to work with him inside that burning home. This job is demanding, both physically and mentally, and we need our brothers to help us. We need to work as a team. That’s the only way
It’s been a couple days now since the crash and we are now down to 14 total survivors and we’re starting to run out of food. We’ve started sending small groups out to search for some more food. but we haven’t had any luck. The fire from the wreckage had gone out a couple days ago, it’s really cold here. Some of the football players have started digging out shelters. I’ve started to become fairly close with the professional boxer, he appears to be Asia and I think he said his name is Makunouchi but I’m not sure.
When I was diving down into the water right above where the plane had crashed there had seemed to be shark that was circling around the sunken plane. But I still dove down there because I knew it was for Zack’s and I’s survival. When I was diving down thee all I could think about was that shark, but I had to keep my mind on finding a bucket and Zack’s rifle. As I was scavenging through the pilot’s space I had come across a bucket that must have had some type of drink in it, maybe they were using it as a cooler. Making my way to the back of the plane there was a door that had all the bags in it, but of course it was locked. I started to panic a little, what if we can’t get any food, what will Zack say to me, then I remembered the bucket that I had found in the pilot's room. So I took the bucket and start to hit it on the door. Well let's just say it didn't go that well because everything under water in much slower so I had to find something that was sharp. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a hatchet in a case next to the fire extinguisher so I swam as fast as I could to the case remembering to take as little breathes as possible. Once I got the hatchet I put it up against the lock and pushed as hard as i could and surely enough the lock
I gassed the car down the highway heading towards downtown to save my brother from his building downtown. I scooped him and dropped him off in a safe place. We then went to see what was going down. All the civilians downtown were scrambling from the scene like Mike Vick against the Jets. We needed to stop it before the storm spread and began hitting my neighborhood where my Mom, Brother, and Dad were safe. As it was pouring fortune cookies one landed in front of us and Kyle, the hesburgh suggested we see what the fortune is. He was right in saying that because it gave us hints on how to stop the storm. The fortune, that was actually a clue told us to climb on the Willis tower and you will find the next clue. We scaled the tower with just our hands and eventually made it to the top and found a fortune that read you must go higher to see what lies above. So we thought how we can get higher into the sky and fast before the fortune cookies began destroying everything. This is when it began to rain sushi and Luke came up to stack them and make stairs. We did this until we found the massive UFO that was causing it to rain Chinese food. We had to take the UFO
It all started when Ms. McCrystal began a lesson on how evolutionary changes impacted the lives of other organisms. Allie knew something interesting was going to happen, because Ms. McCrystal was the most engaging teacher on team 8-1. The very next day Ms. McCrystal had all of her Students do an assignment on the five fingers of evolution. Then she announced that the class was going on a class trip to the science museum.
I saw video of reporters standing in utter devastation, surrounded by twisted cars, splinters where houses once stood, and trees stripped of leaves, limbs, and even bark. In the distance, I saw fires and flashing lights. I heard so many sirens. People were searching through the rubble and others were walking in torn, bloody clothes with blank, shocked faces. The news said the tornado was a mile wide; I felt sick. My mom was missing somewhere in all that horror and chaos.
My mom said that she would protect us and that we would be fine. The storm just kept rolling in with heavy rain and lightning and thunder. We were on the top of the bridge for about 5 minutes when the traffic began moving slowly down the bridge. I felt relief and achievement.
So there we were. We were in the middle of an airport of a country we’ve never been to, we were drenched, we lost all our belongings, and we had no money. Suddenly, all those happy thoughts about being rescued had been shot down.
