What is love? “Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part” (Tweedell & Riggs, 2010). According to the Merriam Webster dictionary love “is a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person; attraction that includes sexual desire; the strong affection felt by people who have a romantic relationship” (Merriam-Webster, 2015). Love is something that is supposed to be meaningful. For example, a mother loving their children and vice versa. I feel like love begins with God and yourself. We dated for 3 years, we were in love. We thought we were very much compatible for one another. However, love is more than a serious of compatible traits (Tweedell & Riggs, 2010). I thought I had the perfect person and that we would be together forever. How naive I was at the time. I learned this the hard way. I was too much of a “good girl” and he cheated. We ended our relationship because of that some other factors. He was in the military, I was in college. We were far away from one another and decided it was just for the best. I never been the one to believe you only fall in love once. I knew God had something else in mind for me. I just needed to be patient and work on
