What is love? “Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part” (Tweedell & Riggs, 2010). According to the Merriam Webster dictionary love “is a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person; attraction that includes sexual desire; the strong affection felt by people who have a romantic relationship” (Merriam-Webster, 2015). Love is something that is supposed to be meaningful. For example, a mother loving their children and vice versa. I feel like love begins with God and yourself. You need to first learn to love God and then learn to love yourself before loving anyone else. Love conquers all because it is everlasting.

We dated for 3 years, we were in love. We thought we were very much compatible for one another. However, love is more than a serious of compatible traits (Tweedell & Riggs, 2010). I thought I had the perfect person and that we would be together forever. How naive I was at the time. I learned this the hard way. I was too much of a “good girl” and he cheated. We ended our relationship because of that some other factors. He was in the military, I was in college. We were far away from one another and decided it was just for the best. I never been the one to believe you only fall in love once. I knew God had something else in mind for me. I just needed to be patient and work on
