I was walking along a deserted beach, there was no one in sight. I could feel the wet sand squish between my toes. I could hear the waves roll up the shore, and the smell of salt from the ocean filled the air. I looked up to see the sky covered in gloomy clouds; it looked like it was about to rain. I got an eerie feeling, like something bad would happen, but I ignored it. Every time I breathed in, I could taste the coldness of the air fill my lungs. I turned around looking at my footprints embedded in the sand, seeing them slowly disappear as the salty water washed over them.
When I turned around, I saw a wooden door standing in front of me. The door looked as if it belonged to a sucked pirate ship that had gotten rotted away from the currents of the ocean. The door had a circle window in the middle as I tried to get closer to see through it. I realized I was sinking into the sand, the more I struggled to get out, the faster I sank. Waves rolled up the sandy shore as boats passed by. The heat from the sun warmed the ocean water to just the right temperature. I could hear kids laughing in the distance. Dragonflies passed me as I floated on the warm water. The day felt like it would never end. Out of nowhere, I felt something trying to pull me down. I struggled to get any air in my lungs. Soon I was completely submerged under the water, but I could still breathe, and then I saw what pulled me down. It was a mermaid. She had long blue hair that flowed through the water and she had gills on her arms and neck. Her tail was green and scaly, and it shimmered as the sun hit it. She looked strong and powerful. Then she started waving her hand like she wanted me to follow her. Without thinking, I followed her. It felt like have been swimming for hours. Then she stopped and turned around.
