Case Study Today, there are many issues that hinder the quality of healthcare. Studies show that most people reported unfavorable evaluations of seeking medical care due to factors related to physicians, health care organizations, and similar affective concerns. Also, many participants stated that they do not seek medical care due to traditional barriers such as high costs, inability to obtain health insurance, and time constraints (Taber, Leyva, & Persoskie, 2015). In accordance with one of their main principles to redesign primary care services and structures, organizations are implementing new ways of delivering care. Using new methods allows organizations to build on and improve the quality of old methods (McCarthy & Klein, 2010). For example, the Center of Global Initiatives is studying a way to improve healthcare though Psychology. This relates to the topic of cultural competency mentioned earlier because they believe that psychologists are better equipped to handle cultural situations than other most other health professionals. Also, having knowledge of the human mind and emotions will aid medical professionals in handling stressful medical situations. There are always going to be aspects like customer service or procedural changes that can be done to improve quality of care. I believe that this project will make healthcare more open and accessible to all populations. In my practice, I hope to become a leader that is efficient yet maintains good relations with patients. I plan to implement the five principles of the Triple Aim initiative into my practice to provide patients with a satisfying medical experience. If patients are thoroughly taken care of and emotionally content, there will be less complaints and more people willing to seek medical
