According to the essay that this writer had read, “No-name Woman” by Maxine Hong Kingston, the author illustrates that how the traditional Chinese culture treated women. They treated women like they are just male baby making machine, they expect women to always listen to the male of the family. Even though in tradition Chinese culture, only the father or the oldest son of the family have the right to decide but when it comes to women they must listen to all the males of the family and they are expected to listen to all the males in the family. By treating women badly is it right or wrong should people retain or eliminate this type of culture standard? This writer thinks that this type of culture should be eliminated because no matter men or women, everyone is a human being so everyone should have an equal rights.
