In the dictionary the word honor means to regard with great respect. My idea of the word honor from my perspective means to respect and obey someone, like for example I honor my parents. The person I am doing is Nikola Tesla, he has made many great accomplishments in the world of science that helped us get to where we are. In Nikola Tesla’s day, he was an electrical engineer and a mechanical engineer which helped him alot.

Nikola Tesla, was honored for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Nikola discovered the rotating magnetic field which was the base to all of the alternating current systems. Nikola helped Thomas Edison, by improving his DC electrical system, but soon after
Tesla wanted it to be transmitted through a large electrical tower for sharing information and providing free electricity throughout the world. After funding from several investors that included the financial giant J.P. Morgan. Tesla started working on designing and building a lab, with a power plant and massive transmission tower in Long Island, New York. His soon rival in this division Guglielmo Marconi had the funding from Andrew Carnegie and Thomas Edison. Edison, and his team continued to make great advances with his own radio technologies so Tesla had no choice so he soon abandoned the progress. Soon Tesla’s staff was laid off and his site soon went into foreclosure. Two years later, Tesla filed bankrupt and his tower was torn down and made into scrap metal to pay back the debt that soon occurred. But that wasn't the end to Tesla.
After facing a nervous breakdown, Tesla soon got back to work mainly as a consultant. Soon Tesla’s ideas became more crazy and impractical. After a little bit, Tesla soon went crazy and started taking care of wild pigeons in the park. Tesla even got attention from the FBI when talking about wanting to make a death ray of which he started. Not to long after the encounter with the FBI Tesla died at the age of 86 in New York City, where he had lived for almost 60 years. Tesla's legacy still went on and will always
