The NFL is always trying to expand its’ brand. They have played exhibition games in Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Spain and a few other countries. There is talk now that the NFL is interested in putting a franchise over in London. Any team that is located in London is a horrible idea. That team in London would cause so much disorder. The UK is 5 hours ahead of the U.S. which would cause major scheduling conflicts with the already established franchises in America. Everyone knows that soccer would automatically come first. There is no way London would be able to put soccer behind a football team. There is no talent pool in Europe. It is pretty expensive traveling over to London from the U.S. for a day. Imagine doing so for a professional football game. First of all, the game ticket is going to ridiculously expensive because of the high demand of having only one team in Europe ("Across the pond: The argument on if the NFL should be in London."). Now the fan has to pay for transportation which is roughly a seven flight from New York ("NFL should avoid expansion, move two teams to London & L.A"). This will a trip for more than one day so now a fan would have to book a hotel. Then he or she would have pay for transportation from the hotel to the actual game itself. The bad certainly outweighs the good in this scenario of an overseas team. There is too much conflict when it comes to the scheduling of team traveling to and from London. The jet lag and traveling of the away team would be too much. With way England sees their soccer, there is no chance that American football can come first. They have grown up all of their lives with soccer and it will always be their passion. And the American players will be reluctant to leave the United States to play for a London team. There would not enough talent for that London team. The NFL is not ready to have a team
