The Nez Perce Indians are a tribe that originated in Pacific Northwest of the U.S. During the expedition of Lewis and Clark, the Indian tribe covered about 17 million acres. Those states were part of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Recordings of Leais and Clark reported that the suppose to be known as fierce warriors and were strategic in battle were actually a helpful tribe and peaceful also. Many roots for winter were actually gathered by the Nez Perce tribe such as the camas bulb, bitterroot, Khouse, wild carrot, and potato.
