It was at that moment, sitting in a room filled with half-empty boxes and deafening silence, that I realized I may have made the biggest mistake of my life. Moving from a tiny hometown to the big city of New Orleans was not the result of a well-developed plan. In fact, it was predicated on simple instinct.
