In the ancient world history, nationalism is the act of power that has significantly influenced and shaped the world cultural and political setup. Nationalism in 1800’s took greater control, stretching throughout the many empires and kingdoms of America and Europe. The act of nationalism managed to break up first countries and eventually to create the new ones. In some instances, nationalism led to the breaking up of powerful kingdoms that have ever been in Europe’s history like in Germany and Italy.
In Europe, the movement of nationalism led to the upset in power balance as set up at the Congress of Vienna in 1815. This change affected many lives and empire settings. The primary target of the nationalist movements was to break and set free the different groups free from empires. It then made such groups of nationalists free from empire rules, and the people could now execute their traditional ways of governance and land control.

Even so, there is one characteristic that prevails among these societies, the concept of nationalism. In short, nationalism refers to the feelings people have when identifying with their nation.
