Four years of my life have passed away in a blink! I remember entering freshmen year of high school feeling utterly nervous; now as a senior, I have been accepted into college! Oh my. In high school, I have taken both AP and IB classes. Along with rigorous school work, I have participated in extracurricular activities like Track & Field, Biomedical Club, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Key Club, Journalism, and National Social Studies Honor Society. By extensively being involved in high school, I have learnt the most important thing in life: the Golden Rule. My responsibility was to tutor the underclassmen in world history one and world history two. Though I committed most of my time to the two organizations, my service did not stop there. I was also involved in several other clubs and activities where I provided service to others. For example, through Track & Field I helped raise money for the team by selling Christmas trees during the holiday season; in Biomedical Club my club members and I picked up the trash in our school’s football, soccer, and baseball fields during our study hall hour; in Journalism I interviewed students and teachers and also helped in the production of my school’s newspaper; lastly, I helped make posters for a medical camp for Bhutanese refugees, ran by my mother and her co-workers, which is affiliated to Towson University. My involvement in all of the activities mentioned above has taught me to be concerned for social justice and to live in an ethically responsible way. I am a Black and White type of person. I see things in right and wrong, and for me it is really good to make that gray happen.
