I am honored to have the privilege to be an applicant for National Honors Society. Recently I have learned that the four pillars of National Honors Society are Leadership, Service, Character and Scholarship. Based on these characteristics I feel I identify greatly with them. I believe I possess the four characteristics, because no matter what is thrown my way I will strive to work my hardest and accomplish all ta Leadership is characterized as a person who is a trailblazer, who can take control, in my own thoughts. Being an experienced officer in multiple clubs I credit myself as a leader. I have had to take events into my own hands and make sure things run accordingly. I have had guided a group of middle schoolers through a student council workshop that was put on by student council officers. Being a leader and having leadership qualities if something I’m confident in. Service is characterized as a person who helps around the community and is not afraid to lend a helping hand. I deem myself suited with these characteristics because through high school I have helped clean up after a tornado hit Paincourtville area. For week, I was at camp grant walker volunteering as a 4-H camp counselor. I have made shoes for childes in Africa to protect their feet from parasites, mainly jiggers. I identify with scholarship because all throughout high school I have strived for A’s. There is the occasional class that challenges me that is accompanied by a B, however I still strive for A’s following that B. During my high school career, I have nothing less than a 4.0 GPA. I make sure to attend and participate in class. Being active in academics determines the outcome of an individual along with character, service, and leadership. The four pillars of National Honors Society are what make me who I am. I am a leader who does servicer with astonishing character and excellent scholarship
