For many comic book fans and sci-fi addicts, "Castle" star Nathan Fillion could very well be a superhero himself. Even before he portrayed the charismatic author Rick Castle in the long-running ABC detective series, he already made his mark playing Captain Malcolm Reynolds in the space western science fiction drama "Firefly" and its film continuation "Serenity."
People have looked up to his roles for the longest time, and even though "Firefly" consisted only of one season with a total of 14 episodes, Captain Malcolm Reynolds was an unforgettable character who inspired many individuals.
Given his string of successful characters, Fillion wants to continue portraying memorable roles, and when asked by Comic Book which superhero he would like to give a whirl, he answered: "I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That's kind of my niche... show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that... not too bright."
Booster Gold is a DC Comics character who comes from the future. Just as Fillion said, he likes to show off and wants to seek glory and attention for himself. He uses his vast knowledge on historical events and technology from the future to impress people. Booster Gold manages to grow and develop his character in the comic books, so much so that he even becomes a member of the Justice League, but his attempts for self-gratification often weigh him down.

Everybody Loves Raymond Everybody Loves Raymond is a family sit com television show about a married father of 3 children residing across the street from his parent’s house, therefore, his family are constantly interrupted by the kids, his brother, and parents. Season 1 episode 1 starts off with Raymond and his wife struggling to balance life with kids, work, and family. Since his wife is a stay at home mother of infant twins and a 3 year old girl, Raymond allows his wife to take a day off with her girlfriends and to enjoy herself without the supervision of his parents, inviting them without permission or an advance notice. As a result, Raymond’s failure to satisfy his family by lying soon gets caught. The scene allows him the perfect opportunity to voice out his feelings about the privacy of his own house.

Christopher Johnson McCandless, a.k.a Alexander Supertramp, “Master of his Own Destiny.” He was an intelligent young man who presented himself as alone but really he was never lonely. However, he believed that life was better lived alone, with nature, so he ventured off throughout western United States before setting off into Alaska’s wild unprepared where he died. Some may say he was naive to go off on such a mission without the proper food and equipment but he was living life the way he wanted to and during his travels he came across three people: Jan Burres, Ronald Franz, and Wayne Westerberg. McCandless befriended these people, it is believed that he made such a strong impression on them that their connection left them with strange feelings after finding out about McCandless’ death.
There are many qualities that people think a hero should have. To name a few of those qualities there is; courage, determination, focus, compassion, dedication, honesty, loyalty, responsibility, and wisdom. To conclude, the graphic novel Watchmen presents the non-fantastic representation of a superhero, implying that not all heroes are like Superman. This notion is explored within the novel by mentioning the realistic motives of the characters choosing to become superheroes, by Rorschach’s representation and through the heroic reactions of the New Yorkers to a street crime. These elements all contribute to Watchmen’s uniqueness and complexity as a superhero comic.
We all have heard of Spider Man. He was the average teenager until he was bitten by a radioactive spider. I like Spider Man but I believe there are a lot of things missing in his movies. The police and government are portrayed poorly, as to assisting Spider Man or lack there of. Spider Man goes about doing his own thing, outside of the law. He is something we can all relate to and I believe that is why a lot of people like him. Most people would say they want to be like Spider Man because of his cool super human powers. I believe it would be a lot of hard work, dedication, and a lot of responsibility. Think about this, you would have two lives to live as a completely different person. You would have to keep up good grades, make some money to live on, support your family in one life, then save people, fight crime, and kill villains in the other life.
