“AHHHHH!” I cried as the rapid roller coaster took a straight drop and hot summer air rushed into my face. This was the day I rode the eleventh best roller coaster in the world when I was only eight years old! It all began when my brother’s traveling baseball team had a week long tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. Because I’m not a particular fan of baseball, it was tremendously boring having to sit in the beaming sun all day long for a week. Plus, I had to babysit two five year old girls that never stopped bickering and whining. To have some fun with the whole family involved, my parents thought that it would be nice to take everyone to Six Flags! As we climbed higher and higher, my stomach churned more and more at the sound of each clicking belt moving us in the direction of the first drop. Just before the peak we had stopped moving and in increments we gradually moved forward over the first hill. I begged fearfully to my dad, “I can’t do this! I can’t do this! Get me off!” “Too late now!” he shouted as we rushed down the steep decline for what seemed like forever. ‘AHHHHHHHHH!” I shrieked as the wind rushed into my face and through my short blonde hair. As the coaster picked up speed, there were sharp twists and turns that made my whole body flail back and forth. It went up and down in large drops that must have been as big as mountains! I could feel my stomach drop at every decline, but finally relief! When the ride was over, I felt like I could do anything and achieve anything even when my dad asked, “Do you wanna do it again?” I said cooly, “Nope, I’m good.” My very first ride on a roller coaster was on the eleventh best roller coaster in the world.
