The Lie, a dreaded horrible thing we tell to avoid the truth. Lies come in all shapes and sizes. Some lies are small to the point they are just omitting certain parts of the truth. Other lies are the secret lies, these lies can cause damage to trust between you and the person you tell it to. The worst of all the lies are the funniest kind of lies you look back on, they are the one you tell even though you been caught. With every word the punishment just gets worse, to the point of no return. Lies are the worst option to take in any scenario no matter how devastating the truth can be. One example of the consequences of lying in my life was trying to lie to my boss to get out of work. This was not one of my smartest lies since I got caught not being sick. It all worked out in the end, but at the time this all happened, I was worried that making it to 20 would never happen. Labor Day weekend, the blowout weekend of the summer, hard parting from Friday till Monday morning, something that I absolutely took part in. All was going well all weekend until Sunday came. I was at a party having some delicious tea and amazing brownies. We were sitting around a fire talking. At about 3 in the morning my phones rings, it is my dad. What my friends told me happened was I lied right to him over the phone about everything, where I was, what I was doing, and possibly more. Come to find out my butt decided to call him, letting him here 6 terrifying minutes of the conversations we were having. When I got home the next day I was terrified of the punishment I would be greeted with. Surprising all my dad told me was not to lie to him again. In the end, I still do not know what my dad heard, but we have moved on, still not tell him the truth about
