My Introductory Speech Analysis

My introductory speech could have been better. The tone of my speech was decent. I tried my best not to sound monotone or boring. This is important because, tone helps to convey the meaning of your words. As well, it helps with keeping the audience awake. Organizing my speech was an area that was okay. It help me to make my presentation and help me as a guide to what am going to say next. I felt the speed of my speech was not rushed through. The three areas of growth are in practice, pronunciation, and perfectionism. I practiced my speech only over a few days. My practice sessions only last for forty-five minutes in each of the sessions. Speech with butchered up words is not a speech at all. It would be a monologue of just gibberish. I make an error when it comes to pronouncing words when, I am nervous or have a brain-fart. I need to learn how to control my nerves of failing. Perfectionism is an issue that I need to control. A prime example would be the session of the introductory speech. I had to restart four times because, to me it was not what I wanted. The type of person am is when it does not start off right, I have to start over from scratch. My family and another classmate was my audience. They encourage me to just do not stop and to keep calm. I just want to learn how to control my perfectionism. Perfectionism is entity that I feel will build me and destroy me at the same time. It builds me by giving me confidence that whatever I do will be flawless. In my career path, I have to basically be perfect at what I do. My career will affect people's lives and their families. I cannot afford to be reckless or to make a mistake. Words matter in a speech because, what we say can affect how we perceive the information. The issue I have can effect me in delivering the speech. The words I say have to be chosen carefully to get the information I want to convey. I know I will succeed in overcoming these areas. My first step is to always have a positive outlook no matter
