My Favorite Science Essay

Growing up I always liked science so in elementary school it was the best time of the day. I had many different activities that were my favorite and really are clear in my memory to this day. When I got into middle school and high school, I still had a love for science and learning more about it. I took a few classes in college already as well, so I’d say my science background has a great foundation. In kindergarten we learned a lot about the water cycle. Although it was difficult to understand some of the words like condensation and precipitation, it was easy to remember how and why it rained or snowed. It was also a fun way to learn. We sang a song and then would act out what was happening in each part. From a gas that made its way to a cloud and soon became rain the teachers at the time really knew how to get information across to kids. In first grade is when we started with a little more of the science fair type of things. Ms. M was one of my favorite teachers I’ve ever had for science. On the very first day of school, our science lesson was just a few fun experiments that we would learn more about throughout the year. I never got to make a volcano out of baking soda just to see it explode everywhere. That was kind of sad for me because I really wanted to watch that happen. My class was actually the only class that never did that activity. I will definitely do that activity with my class no matter how big of a mess it might make and how many hours I’d have to spend making a volcano out of paper-mache. I did however get to make a tornado in a bottle in elementary school. We got to put food coloring and glitter into our own pop bottles. We duct taped them together and then we had our own homemade tornado. We spent a long time just watching the tornado twist and turn as we spun the bottles faster and
