Each and every person around the world have a cultural identity, whether they are part of a major race or not. If a person were to look back at their family tree all the way to the roots, they will find that they were part of a diverse cultural group. Sometimes, family history can be lost or unknown due to lack of recorded documents. Even if I do not know much about my family history, it still says a lot about who I am. It is essential to know what our cultural heritage is so that people can understand themselves. Being the first child of my family and born in the United States, I still have a strong cultural influence on me since my parents came to the states a year before my birth. After my mother and father got married, they began to immigrate to the United States in 1998. My parents came to the United States for a better life for themselves and the rest of the family. In the little rural town of Palacios, the Vietnamese immigrant popular were unusually high.
