Music, in general, has a diverse variety of careers. Each one works together to form the musical master pieces we all love. Some careers in the music industry include music publisher, marketing executive, music producer, manager, and songwriter. From one job to the next, the music industry would not be the same without the individuals who fulfill these titles. A music publisher’s job is to guarantee that profits are made and collected when a songwriter’s work is used commercially. A publisher’s job warrants them to create a publishing contract which entails copyrighting. Without the hard work that music publisher put in, songwriters and composers would not make any money off of their hard work. A marketing executive job description, on the other hand, includes public relations, distribution, sponsorship and, most importantly, advertising. . A producer’s main goal is to guarantee that a musician’s visualization of a musical piece comes to life. A producer creates the music through vocals, instrumental provisions and sound effects. All in all, the producer is the one who creates the actual sound of music. A manager’s role is to work for an artist in order to find the best songwriters and producers for the job. A manager uses his or hers business and communication skills in order to effectively create a plan for the musician he or she is working with.
