Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is one of the greatest composers of all time and one of the most prolific during the Classical Era. He was writing symphonies while everyone else his age were playing with toys. Mozart’s first composition were short keyboard works produced at the age of five years old. His first symphony came just three years later. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the greatest composers of all time, mastering every musical format he attempted. Mozart was born January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, which is now Austria, then part of the Holy Roman Empire. Many scholars still debate whether Mozart’s age when he created his first musical compositions. Later, Mozart had been noticing opportunities to earn a good living in Vienna, and he chose to stay there and develop a career as a freelance musician. During the years 1782–1785, Mozart put on a series of concerts in which he performed as a soloist in his own piano concertos. He wrote several concertos for each concert season, and since there was not very much seating in theatres at this time, he booked unconventional venues: a large room in the Trattnerhof, an apartment building; and the ballroom of the Mehlgrube, a restaurant. The concerts were extremely popular, and the pieces Mozart composed for them are still considered to be some of his best work ever. Mozart died on December 5th in was recorded as “severe miliary fever”, but the actual cause of Mozart's death cannot be accurately pin pointed. Mozart’s burial was almost a disgrace to his legacy. His body was sewn in a linen sack, and thrown in a normal grave with five or six other bodies. No friends or family were present to witness the burial. As you can see, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the greatest composers of all time, mastering every musical format he attempted. Mozart worked hard at a very young age to become the composer he became. Moving to Vienna was one of the best moves Mozart made for his professional career.
