The Milpitas Food Pantry is a place that helps people who need food, clothes, and other goods. Not only can you donate during November and December but it’s also beneficial to donate and volunteer throughout the whole year. 80% of the food at the pantry goes to families with kids that are our age. Most people in this school are able to have three meals every single day, but others don’t have that privilege. As a child you would have one meal per day, would that be satisfying? So, donating fresh, organic, and nutritious food isn’t a hard thing to do. In order to make a difference, you can donate to the Milpitas Food Pantry or Jack Emery Food Drive! Having kept this idea in mind, we went to the Milpitas Food Pantry, did a project, collaborated with others, and understood more about technology which along the way taught us about people's needs in our society. We learned the important factors of the food pantry during the process of our visit. Most clients who work there come in every two weeks, or they come monthly to get a month’s worth of supplies. The food is stored in certain regions of the store, while a garden is grown beside the building. Donations are earned from donors making it easier for the workers to run this system. In order to complete this assignment, I got into a random group with other classmates. We explained the six important elements of questions- whos, whats, whens, wheres, whys, and hows of donating. We ran into many obstacles such as technology issues and a couple of theoretical errors. To do this assignment, I was in a group with Nathan, Jade, and Keanna.
