MENSTRUATION.
Menstruation is the process that involves the shedding of the uterine walls of a female and the menstrual blood flows through the cervix and passes out of the body through the vagina. For many women the menstrual period lasts 2-5 days with others going up to 7dasy. For young girls, one receives their menstrual period after they have been ushered in to puberty. This is usually between the ages 8yrs and 14yrs although for some are early bloomers while others are late bloomers.
MENSTRUAL CYCLE.
When a female’s periods start coming more regularly and the starting date up to the next start date has been established, this makes up her menstruation cycle. When the cycle is regular, it is an indication that all the parts that are involved with causing menstruation are working properly and effectively. The average menstrual cycle of a woman is usually 28days.

Disposable menstrual cups: they are usually made from plastics that are soft and are inserted into the vagina because of their flexibility so that it can catch the menstrual flow.
REUSABLE FEMALE HYGIENE PRODUCTS.
Cloth pads: unlike the sanitary pad mentioned above, this one is made of used cotton clothes, towels or a flannel. It can be handmade or bought at the store.
Sea sponges: this is a type of natural sponge and it is usually inserted in the vagina to function like a tampon. When soaked, it is removed, washed, left to dry and used again.
Padded under wears: these are panties that have layers of cloths sewn in it so that it can absorb the menstrual fluid.
Piece of towel or blanket: they are usually placed in between the legs so that they can absorb the menstrual fluid. One should be very careful with this and avoid tossing and turning.
