Meaning Of Life Roger Ebert Essay

516 Words2 Pages

Roger Ebert was a famous movie critic that died from cancer, but before his death he experienced how quickly life can change for anyone. When he was once interviewed Ebert mentioned his own view on the meaning of life saying that our purpose in life was “to make others a little happier and ourselves a little happier”.He also talked about the afterlife and how “there is nothing on the other side of death to fear”.Although we all have our own and different opinions regarding life and what comes after,I agree with ebert's views on the meaning of life, but I don't agree with his views about what comes after death.
I believe that one of the meanings is to make others happy because you never know what someone is going through, trying to bring someone happiness can never hurt them.In a world full of so much hatred and suffering it is important to remind others that they have to stay positive even through difficult times.Although many people may disagree with me for many reason it is important to just live life to the fullest regardless of the different opinions others have towards what the true meaning of life is.
