As Senior Drum Major, Geomari Abraham marched down to the 50 yard line; she looked up to the crowd and felt proud of the hard work she done to prepared for this moment. She climbs to the apotheaom, her hands shacked but it didn’t matter. She felt very excited and honor to conduct a marching band.
“My favorite memory was probably the bus rides to and from the games, I always love the bus rides.” Abraham, senior, said.
The Reading Senior High School Marching Band performed a show called 21 Pilots Tribute Show. The band had over 75 members in the group. The group shared their experience in the show and how they did it.
Over Abraham’s view of the band in the football field, in the flute section, Mericel Mirabal, a senior who participated for 3 years and become a flute section leader. She had that responsibility to make her flute section to march, perform and play the music well. One of her favorite memories was her and the seniors pranked the juniors and sophomores by a water messy fight and placed traps to spill. On the performance, Mericel felt many mix of emotions. When a performance is halfway finished, Junior Drum Major Barrilyn Bender takes the spot and conducts. She did marching band for 3 years and marched a flute for two years. She contains leadership, responsibility and time management to become a Junior Drum Major. One of her moments in a performance was conducting the final movement of the show, especially the song, Car Radio. She thought it was a rewarding part because it made her emotional and a sigh of relief by just watching the final
