Captive relationships can push individuals upon immoral thoughts, character devastation and most importantly, death. In William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Macbeth struggles with enticing power. How association with an individual could change the course of your existence. There are multiple characters that either lit the fuse of Macbeth’s ambition, or cut the fuse to make it shorter, thus leading him along the path to evil. Macbeths mind is full of crooked ideas but individuals that he knows and I counters are what pushes his towards a dark road. Individuals such as Lady Macbeth who pushes him to strive for more power, which in turn corrupts him. The witches who push him upon an unhonest thought indulging …show more content…

He is already wearing of the death of the king and how he is so eager to become king, asking why he had killed the guards instead of hearing what had happened. Macbeth knew he should fear Macduff and the witches even foretold it, showing his the apparition which told him “...Beware Macduff. Beware the thane of Fife…” (Act iv scene i) Macduff motivates Macbeth to do irrational things, such as sending murderers to kill his whole family. These setbacks reveal what kind of character Macbeth has turned into, straying from the once honest man he was. Macduff proves to Malcolm that he believes Scotland will fail if he does not return, gaining Malcolm's trust and aiding to invade Scotland. This in turn suppressing all of Macbeth’s honest intentions he had left, he sends out to murder Macduff’s family. Macbeth does regret murdering Macduff’s family further in the play “Of all men else I have avoided thee. But get thee back. My soul is too much charged With blood of thine already.”(Act vi Scene viii) What Macbeth has done he doesn't care anymore, he wants to go down as a warrior, fight to the last second and he succeeds in doing so.
