“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” The play Macbeth was like a test to how much power a man can handle to me. Macbeth and his power hungry wife steals the throne from his own family and kills his Bestfriend and his son to cover his tracks. Shakespeare had a great plot twist at the end of the book to catch the reader's attention. Macbeth and Banquo, have defeated two separate invading armies one from Ireland, led by the rebel Macdonwald, and one from Norway. Following their pitched battle with these enemy forces, Macbeth and Banquo came across three witches. The witches basically told Macbeth the rest of his life but played mind games with him. Like Macbeth, Banquo had ambitious thoughts, but he does not turn those thoughts into action. Banquo’s character stands good to Macbeth, since he represents the path Macbeth chose not to take a path in which ambition need not lead to betrayal and murder. Banquo’s ghost and not Duncan’s that haunts Macbeth. Macbeth’s guilt for killing Banquo, the ghost also reminds Macbeth that he did not believe Banquo’s reaction to the witches sayings. The only real reason Macbeth killed Banquo was because he found out that him and his wife killed king Duncan and Banquo’s son to become king. I really don't think Macbeth wanted to be king as bad as lady Macbeth did.

In conclusion these three characters played big role in Shakespeare's play. They had big changes in their life in the book. The biggest change was Macbeth and how he went from a army leader to a cold blooded killer. Lady Macbeth was just watned all the power, she talked Macbeth into killing his famliy, and then she killed herself. In my eyes she got out the easy way beacuse she was sleep walking when she died. Banquo was the best person to me, he just wanted to live his life but Macbeth had to kill him becasue he found out about what
