The topic I picked is Homosexual people should have the right and the freedom like what straight people have in this world. I think this topic is very controversial because in the U.S. Most homosexual people especially males, get discriminated because of what they feel: having attractiveness to their same sex. Most people in the U.S. are str8 and most people think that being gay or lesbian is wrong and it is not right to show it off and be proud of it. Another point why this topic is very controversial is when gay people marry each other.
This means that many of the same people who are even passionately in favor of homosexual rights oppose homosexuals on this one issue. This is because there is a lot of misunderstanding about what homosexuality really is, as well as the erroneous assumption that homosexual people enjoy the same civil rights protections as everyone else. For the reasons of ending social injustice, the economic and social benefits of allowing homosexuals to marry, and the constitution, homosexual marriages should be a legalized institution. Homosexuals are often treated unjustly socially. Homosexual people and couples are treated as inferior to that of heterosexuals.
They may know that being a homosexual is going against Gods word but they also know that the Lord says that one should love all no matter what circumstances. Calling homosexuals offensive names is just as offensive as from public displays of affection from homosexuals. Of course I for one do not fin any kind of this public display offensive but some might. So if some want the respect to get homosexuals to keep their proclamation of loving one another private then they have to stop the name calling and violence. Homosexuals are just as human or Christian as anyone may be so that is more of a reason to love them.
Amend. ... ... middle of paper ... ...port their church's views on homosexuality. This can range from quietly discouraging homosexual activity, explicitly forbidding same-sex sexual practices among people and actively opposing the social acceptance of homosexuality. Most who are opposed to homosexuality argue that homosexual sexual activity is a sin, not the sexual orientation. Christians think that sex was for procreation, not for pleasure; women and slaves were considered property to be owned by males, and many expressions of heterosexuality, like homosexuality, were considered unholy.
Since the individual chooses to be a homosexual, they should not be given special privileges. Another argument that you hear is that these couples should not get married simply because of the torment and ridicule they would be faced with in their everyday lives. There are news reports from across America telling about how a gay person was beaten or killed just because they were looked at as different. Some of these people would end up the target of verbal abuse and maybe even physical abuse, just because some heterosexual people see them as different.
You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.” –Rick Warren The issue in today’s society is that you either have to love homosexuals and agree with them or you have to hate them and disagree with how they live their life. I find this to be untrue. My opinion is that you can love them but that doesn’t mean you have to accept their lifestyle. Homosexuality has been in our world forever. There have been stories from ancient times mentioning people having homosexual activity.
Same-sex couples should be able to have access to the same benefits straight cou... ... middle of paper ... ... homosexuality was a choice, then being straight is just another choice as well; that all just sounds redundant. Just because you follow a religion does not make you more sacred and better than any other person. Those types of people who are so full of them is what makes me sick the most. Homosexuals are not the enemy in this equation, the main enemy are the anti gay community. In the end, homosexualy will conqur the day even if you like it or not for there is too much support to help it.
They are human beings too; they just do not like the opposite sex as a partner or being attractive. In most cases depending on what they call themselves they might not find them attractive. They should have all their rights like everyone else. They should be allowed to get married because the right to marry is protected under the Equal Protection Clause, the Fourteenth Amendment, and the Due Process. There should be equality for everyone; all through history homosexuals have been discriminated.

In “Against Homosexual Marriage” James Wilson says that “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed abomination” (302). Apparently, those who partake in “Adultery, sodomy, premarital sex, and divorce” are in other words, casted to Hell. Religion is only one factor that stops homosexuals from getting the equal rights they deserve. Firstly, homosexuals should not be discriminated against because they do not choose their sexuality.
