The study shows an in depth analysis of a father-son relationship where the love of the father for his child is indescribable. Fatherhood is a state where a man faces the hardships & cruelties of life and uses his all mental & psychical energy to ensure that his son is in the perfect state of mind for a good upbringing. There have been a few people in the world who realize the sacrifices their fathers made by working with all their efforts and abilities to safeguard their child from the society’s disparagement and criticisms. A son always follow the footsteps of his father and make his life succeed in the teachings taught by his father. During World War II, Guido and his family are forced to be transferred to a Nazi concentration camp to work to live their lives. Giouse was not aware of this dangerous life he had to live. Guido tried to make Giouse realize that they are playing a game where they have to face different challenges in order to clear stages in the game and earn points with a reward of an original tank for the one with the highest points. Here he make the casualties of the camp bearable for his son, such as need of mother and hunger, by deceiving him in a situation where he would lose game points if he shows stubborn attitude or throws tantrums. Every time Guido returns from work, he tells him about the games he played with others and winning them all and others being jealous of their lead. Through this, he manages to create an air of joy for his son to help him resist the tortures of the Fascists. To avoid the hazards of poor upbringing, he guides his son to distance form German soldiers to save his life and gets a chance to mix him up among the children of German Soldiers. Later, the war is over and the camp becomes a hub of hesitaion and panic. Guido orders Giouse to stay in a steel box until everyone has left and would ultimately then win the tank. He then tries to approach Dora to aware of not getting into the truck to save her life, where he is caught by a German soldier who decides to encounter him at the back of the barracks. On the way towards his execution, he saw Giouse for the last time where he depicts him to complete a challenge and marches off in happiness to ensure his son’s safety. Next morning when Giouse sees no one around, he comes out of the box having all the area cleared but eventually there arrives a Sherman tank which Giouse think is his price of completing the game and his happiness is doubled when the soldier takes him for a lift in the
