But his actions are telling us that he is very selfish and uncaring. His anger leads him to push his parents out of his life. “It is easy, when you are young, to believe that what you desire is no less than what you deserve, to assume that if you want something badly enough, it is your God-given right to have it. (Krakauer 155) We learn more about Krakauer’s feeling towards McCandless. Krakauer simply believes that his actions are because he is young. The passage suggest McCandless would be more mature if he were to survive. But since he did die, we would not know if he would’ve matured.
