Can anyone withstand the truth that here are so many innocent people in the world that justice has not been delivered to? In this world of goodness, beauty, glory and also unfairness, evil, and betrayal, not all are provided with equality; although it is not a simple task to decide, “We the People” shall not stand by and stay absent from the responsibility to fight for the justice and equality of all men and women, for if this fails to, the evils of this very world will take over the humanity of all the people in our country. The amount of people who do not have the ability to lead fair lives are seriously disregarded, and these are not just people have a bit of unfairness in their lives, but they are also people who live through a whole unjust …show more content…

A good example of this is a book called Of Mice And Men. In that book, there are many references to sexism and racism. Early in the year it was talked about how women were not represented equally in the novel. In the novel it says “ ‘you seen a girl around here?’ he demanded angrily” (Steinbeck 37). This quote shows how the woman was not even respected and not even been called by a name. Women in the novel were just there for the pleasure of men, in the novel. There was also a black man in the novel, which was at least given a name in the novel, unlike the woman. This does not mean that racism was not a thing though. He was also given less ability in the novel, and made to seem less important. These are signs of racism and sexism in the book, which evidently show how slaves and women were not given equality and justice. They need to be represented the same with all the people in the novel to have complete justice. The things that happen in Of Mice And Men also show things that have happened in the world’s history and what is still happening at some extent and in some places. In addition to racism and sexism, one modern world example of people’s rights being taken away is North Korea. They have their natural rights to life, liberty, and property constantly taken away in North Korea, and what is horrible is that most of them are not even conscious of this. They also do not have the freedom that they deserve, and this will not stop until something is done about
