The tenth president of the United States of America was John Tyler. John Tyler was born on March 29, 1970 and he died on January 18, 1862 because of a stroke. He grew up with eight siblings. In 1812 John served as military captain in the war of 1812. John married his first wife in 1813, her name was Letita Christian. In 1840 the whig party announced him vice president of president William Henry Harrison He was the first president ever to become president because of the death in the main president,in his case t was William Henry Harrison in 1841. In the year of 1842 John signed the Webster-Ashburton Treaty, adjusting Maine-Brunswick border, that settled boundary issues around the west side of Lake Superior, and resurveying many smaller borders. The Texas Annexation Treaty was signed in 1844 by the United States and the Republic of Texas. Two months after the signing of the treaty, it failed because it didn’t gain the required two-thirds majority in the Senate amid controversy over the western expansion of the nation. Eighteen days after the failing of the treaty he got married to Julia Gardiner. Letita Christian was born November 12, 1970 and died on September 10, 1842. She accompanied her husband on his military missions. She recording her views and observations on February 15, 1861, and closed her diary on August 2, 1865. He was vice president from 1840 to 1841 when his successor died and he became president from 1841 to 1845. He was jokingly called “His Accidence” because he was the first vice President to take office of President by the death of his predecessor.

When he got older, John Tyler was a family oriented man. He married Letitia Christian and the two had 8 kids together. Then, Letitia suffered a stroke and passed away on September 10, 1842, leaving John alone. Luckily, two years later he met and eventually married Julia Gardiner, and they had 7 more children. This became the greatest amount of kids a president had ever fathered back then! However, on January 18, 1862 at the young age of 71, John Tyler passed away from an illness of bronchitis.
He traveled there with the expectation of having peace and quiet for the next four years of his life. Not even a month later Secretary of State Daniel Webster sent word to Tyler that president Harrison became ill. But he did not think it was nothing serious and that it would be unnecessary to return to the nation's capital. Then on April 5 1841, two horseman arrived at John Tylers plantation to give him a letter from the cabinet. The horsemen were the State Department chief clerk Fletcher Webster, son of of Secretary of state Daniel webster, and Senate assistant door keeper Robert Beale. The letter stated that the previous day president William Henry Harrison died of pneumonia. After a quick breakfast, John Tyler had to commence on his rushed journey to the capital. He journeyed back to the capital first on horseback and then by boat which put him in the capital the next day at four in the morning. Tyler was only fifty-one years old younger than any other previous president. Although being the youngest he was the most experienced.
