John Keat was a young poet who died at the age of 29. He had some goals he wanted to accomplish before he died. But he didn’t accomplish them because of the following. First of all one of them was being with his dream girl. He couldn’t be with her because her father didn’t accept. Also because he had bad health problems. Another thing was he wanted to read and write some poems. He accomplished some of them in this one he wrote down what his hopes were. “Fears”is the poem he wrote before he died. These are the thing I want to try to accomplish.
People have a lot of goals they want to accomplish in life. For example, going to college to be a doctor. Or to become a teacher, it just all depends on what your dreams were set to be. For me it’s something
Over a three week period in October 2002 a series of random sniper attacks paralyzed the Washington D.C. area. The shootings happened in in various establishments such as super markets, gas stations, restaurants and near schools turning normal tranquil areas into chaotic murder fields. There were no age group, gender or ethnicity that was safe, Victims were randomly selected and everyone was targeted. After the murderous spree, ten people were declared dead and several others wounded. The perpetrators were finally apprehended while they were sleeping at a resting spot and later identified as forty-one-year-old John Allen Muhammad and his seventeen-year-old Jamaican-American protégé, Lee Boyd Malvo.
Before John Keats died of Tuberculosis at a young age, he wrote the poem, When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be. Keats knows his death is unavoidable, just as death is for everybody. Death comes for everybody, although for some it is sooner than others. Keats fears that with the way his health is declining, he won’t be able to do all of the things he wants to do in life, such as read and write the things he wants. Keats is sad that he won’t be able to travel the world and be able to see his lover again. With life as short as it is and the fact that we never know when our time on earth will be done, we must live each moment to the fullest. Three things that I want to accomplish before I die are having a family, travel the world, and leave
Life has no meaning without goals. In order to succeed setting goal is very important. Without setting goals there would be nothing to look forward to, or even have anything to achieve. Goals are a vital aspect of our lives. It gives a sense of self-confidence. I believe without goals life would just be a plain and no excitement at all. Long-term and short-term goals are intertwined and work similarly to build a house from ground up. I vision myself become a radiologist within the next three to five years. This is my present long-term goal. To achieve my long term goal I have two short term goals, first to get good grades in prerequisites courses and second to complete my grad school program with "A" grade minimum, because graduating with good grades is the stepping stone for my long-term goal.
“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.”-Earl Nightingale. I love that quote and it is so inspiring and uplifting. One thing I would like to accomplish is to graduate with an advanced diploma. The next thing I would like accomplish is to go to college to become a Forensic Scientist, also I would like to help people that were hit by natural disasters.
Keats presents his feelings on how he no longer wishes for impossible goals, and how it is much more preferable to enjoy life as much as possible. It is of no use longing for things we cannot have, and so we must learn to live with the myriad of things we already have, of these one in particular appeals to Keats: the warmth of human companionship and the passion of love.
One of my personal goals is to graduate from both high school and college. I wanna graduate and get my diploma and degree. If I graduate both schools it will help me get a good job and be able to afford the house I want and get my own car and pay my own bills. Another goal is to gain access to a good college if I get into a good college,I can make more money and get a really good job that probably pays a lot. My career is to become a neurologist or a police officer. I would wanna become a neurologist because I really adore babies. If I graduate high school it would make me believe that I can do better in college. It would make me believe that anything is possible like getting my diploma as if it was a piece of
for my future. Through school I pushed myself beyond my level of comfortability to make sure I accomplished my goals. I have always pushed myself to strive towards excellence in all that I do.
My goals in life are very important to me. I wanted to graduate from high school with honors and attend a prestigious university I will succeed in by benefiting from it all my four years. My career goals are to major in journalism. I will study abroad during the years I am attending in college. Also I will do internships while continuing to learn and enhance my education. I see myself in the next four years successfully graduating from Xavier University in Louisiana. I will further my education by receiving my master in journalism while minoring in production. I hope to become a foreign correspondent, or photojournalist traveling around for news and aspects from several countries.
Having a dream is what strives me to do the best that I can everyday. Without a dream you have nothing to strive for and no reason to do good in life. If you don’t have a dream, life is basically pointless because you have no reason to do anything and probably are going to end up working somewhere like McDonalds or Taco Bell. Your dream is unique and special to you, so no one else has the same dream or aspirations in life as you.
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
Graduating from high school has always been the ultimate goal for me. But of course after graduation, much more lies ahead, like college and choosing a career, but graduation comes before all of these things and so it seemed the most attainable/stable goal to reach. In middle school, my increase in motivation to study did me well, as I started to get placed into higher level English.
A career life goal “perhaps one of these days I will open my own business”. A fitness goal “to become fit”. A personal goal to have a family one day.
My goal in life is to be a great friend and wife to my fiancé. An exceptional and admirable mother that teaches her children not just right and wrong, but how to be healthy, happy, successful, responsible adults who can do the same for their families. I don’t want to lose sight of who I am and the person I am meant to be in the process. All the while, enjoying every bit of life and making every moment count.
Everyone in the world has a dream, from Bill Gates to the most unfortunate man in the world. Everyone has a desire that they hope comes true. Majority of everyone's goals is about what they want to be in the future. Just like everyone else, even I have a similar dream like that.
My dream and image of my desired future in the education side is to successfully completing my Ph.D. degree, which has been my dream since I was little child. My father had a Ph.D. degree and as a result, I wanted to follow his path from a very young age as I observed him and it was natural for me to get impressed by his achievements because of that I wanted to follow his footsteps.
