Before John Keats died of Tuberculosis at a young age, he wrote the poem, When I Have Fears That I May Cease to Be. Keats knows his death is unavoidable, just as death is for everybody. Death comes for everybody, although for some it is sooner than others. Keats fears that with the way his health is declining, he won’t be able to do all of the things he wants to do in life, such as read and write the things he wants. Keats is sad that he won’t be able to travel the world and be able to see his lover again. With life as short as it is and the fact that we never know when our time on earth will be done, we must live each moment to the fullest. God created this beautiful world, so why not explore it. I want to travel the United States, as well as other countries. I want to take a trip to Greece, Italy, and many other parts of Europe. I also would like to go to Australia, Jamaica, and Mexico. Each country is so unique, and each state within that country is so unique. There are a vast variety of natural landforms as well as man made landmarks that are across this globe and ready to be explored. We don’t get to live forever, so why not cherish every moment we have? Many others die young, like John Keats, and never get to accomplish all the things they wanted. On the other hand, many live a life confined by a disability or mental illness and are trapped, never getting the chance to live the life they otherwise would.
