In my short story, the main character is James Peterson. He’s very introverted and he has trust issues. James is a complicated character; his street smart, wise, witty, quiet, independent, and a great liar. Growing up in the streets, gave him the abilities of being wise and independent. James lives with his two friends, Gil and Jack, in a small house in New York. James makes a living by stealing and occasionally hacking jobs, which is why he is a great liar. Due to his trauma, he tends to have a hard time trusting people thus making him great at hiding his real feelings. He looks strong on the outside but deep inside, he’s complex and unpredictable. I am most excited in developing James’ personality, especially with letting himself open up
Jim is a dynamic character because he is a runaway slave. Also at first he didn’t really want to risk anythings, no adventures for Jim. I feel that Huck has been influencing Jim with taking risk and starting new adventures.
There are many sorts of people, who depict different traits. Many teenagers make up different stories about themselves just to adjust in a certain group. However, some people do not realize that they are leaving behind their real identity when they are being untruthful about themselves. In the short story, A Manly Heart by Hugh Garner, the main character, Donald Martin, portrays many characteristics that make him extremely judgmental about everyone around him. He judges everyone on their class, the way they get dressed, etc, without even knowing the true nature of them. Donald Martin is a middle class, seventeen year old young boy, graduating from Rutland Preparatory School, who is trying to adjust in high society. And during this process, he hurts many of his loved ones. For instance, he starts disliking his own mother only because she is not as rich or as sophisticated as rich people. There are many quotes in this short story that prove that Donald Martin is basically pessimistic, unappreciative and a liar.
Facts: Chet is basically Gene's only real competition in school for valedictorian but Chet doesn't really notice it as competition because his love of learning is so sincere. Also, he is amazing as tennis and playing the trumpet, and was even asked by Finny to play at their winter get together when the band can't come.

The Fosters makes me feel as though I am a part of the family every episode. Personally I do not consider having two moms is normal, but I can relate to some of the situations the characters go through because my family is not perfect. The Foster's deal with many different issues: break ups, hook-ups, romances, and important life lessons.

Before going to Alaska, Chris McCandless had failed to communicate with his family while on his journey; I believe this was Chris’s biggest mistake. Chris spent time with people in different parts of the nation while hitchhiking, most of them whom figured out that McCandless kept a part of him “hidden”. In chapter three, it was stated that Chris stayed with a man named Wayne Westerberg in South Dakota. Although Westerberg was not seen too often throughout the story, nevertheless he was an important character. Introducing himself as Alex, McCandless was in Westerberg’s company for quite some time: sometimes for a few days, other times for several weeks. Westerberg first realized the truth about Chris when he discovered his tax papers, which stated that “McCandless’s real name was Chris, not Alex.” Wayne further on claims that it was obvious that “something wasn’t right between him and his family” (Krakauer 18). Further in the book, Westerberg concluded with the fact that Chris had not spoken to his family “for all that time, treating them like dirt” (Krakauer 64).
