Guardians of the Galaxy is written by James Gunn, Nicholas Perlman, and directed by James Gunn as well. In 1988 following the death, of his mother Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is abducted from earth by the Ravager a group of space pirates led by their leader Yondu Udonta (Michael Rooker). Years later Peter steals an orb which holds a mysterious power, he tries to sell the orb on the planet and capital of the Nova core but is then attacked by a female green assassin named Gamora (Zoe Saldana) who attempts to steal the orb as well as a separate group of bounty hunters Rocket ( Bradley Cooper) and Groot ( Vin Diesel) are after Quill. They all are throw in a Maximum security prison after fighting one another, where they meet Drax (Dave Bautista) and eventual escape the prison. The 5 character of the crew are very unique and colorful on their own, you could simply throw them in any situation like an office building and still find them appealing.
