For the Holland survey, the highest theme that I received was “Enterprising.” According to Careerassessment.com, people with this personality theme “like to lead and persuade people, and to sell things and ideas. They generally avoid activities that require careful observation and scientific, analytical thinking.” Enterprising type people are typically good at leading other people, and also selling things or ideas. They tend to value success in politics and business and are seen as energetic and ambitious. People who enjoy being reserved and don’t enjoy confrontation. These people tend to be kind and considerate and always thinking practical. While people with this personality type are introverted and tend to be quiet, they are keen observers and are focused on other people. Even though they are known to be quiet with standoffish behavior, ISFJs are usually full of compassion and care for others. While ISFJs are good at understanding the emotions, they often struggle to express their own feelings. Rather than share their feelings, they may bottle them up, sometimes to the point that negative feelings toward other people can result. ISFJs tend to have a small group of very close friends. I thought it was a great survey and very helpful in making a career decision. Some of the current skills that I already have are; designing events, motivating others, prioritizing tasks, team building, arranging social events, and promoting. All of the skills are going to be useful in my career as a Promotions Manager for the Media. The Promotions manager must be able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Therefore, they must be able to prioritize tasks. They must have excellent visual and written communication skills to be able to communicate well with other team members.
