On May 4, 2018 I saw play called Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim. I saw this play at Willow Glen high school in the little theater. Due to the curse of a witch whose vegetables got stolen, a baker and his wife can not have children. They, as the witch instructs, go into the woods to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell. During their trip, they meet Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Jack, and Cinderella who all are on a mission to get their wish. And on their way through the forest, they all manage to upset a scary lady giant.
The story worked very well, and it was very entertaining because it was a twist on the old characters. It, in my opinion took them out of their typical story and made then more human like and face more human problems. I did like the actual script because you can compare how you read it to how it actually looks when you view it on stage and how the characters can play it out. …show more content…

Baker was played by John and Little Red was played by the really pretty short blonde girl whose name i'm not aware of. They were very believable as characters and actually played the character better than what I could've imagined. John sings good as always and really taps into your emotions. When he sung i got chills because the passion he put into the character of the Baker. Little Red put the “kiddy” little girl act on. While also adding a touch of extra comedy, this made me laugh a lot. Little red also jumped around a lot when singing which is what i would except the character to
