Interdependence Of American Countries

377 Words1 Page

I believe that the world is not governed by interdependence. Countries will not aid each other unless there is an interest. There are many examples, such as Rwanda, Syria and Israel, where countries have been in need, but received no aid because other countries seemingly have had no reason to help them. We have companies who only look at the profit margins and hold no regard for working conditions. Countries in need are not given aid because they hold no interest to the countries capable of providing assistance. When the Rwandan Genocide occurred, the United States gave no aid because Rwanda had nothing to offer, and American lives would have been at risk. We are now experiencing a difficult situation in Syria because of the civil war.
