Longboards are very popular nowadays.When you learn how to ride a longboard you will feel free. Once a girl learned how to ride a longboard, so she thought she can do any cool moves or/and going down huge and dangerous hills without any protection. Almost everyday she went out with her little sister longboarding.everywhere she was riding she was like a pro, walking back and forth on the board and making herself the spotlight also showing off in front of her little sister. Sometimes showing off can have a big minus because what if you mess up and get badly hurt. Longboarders should not avoid wearing protection when riding even if u think ur a pro. Also do not go down hills you've never been on and just because other people do it doesn't mean you have to. I would rather you cruise on sidewalks or trails.
This all happened February 2015, My birthday was coming up and the only thing I had in mind was a longboard, so when my parents asked me “ What do you want for your birthday?” I replied with “Longboard.” So they went and bought me one. Longboards are very expensive the best ones are over $600.00-$700.00 so I didn't think they would get me one. After school I came home and saw a big and long box on my bed right away I knew what it was! Before I opened it I thanked my parents hundreds of times. As a beginner I didn't wear protection so my brother was right next to me the whole time making sure I didn't fall or get hurt. As I got better at riding my brother tells me a few things I didn't know such as if you bend down while riding you go faster and if you lean back you start slowing down. The freezing wind had chilled my hand to the bone. Even as I walked into my cabin, I shivered as if there was an invisible man shaking me. My ears, fingers, toes, and noes had turned into a pale purple, only starting to change color once I had made a fire and bundled myself in blankets like ancient Egyptians would do to their deceased Pharaohs. The once powdered snow on my head had solidified into a thin layer of ice. I changed out of the soaking wet clothes I was wearing and put on new dry ones. A few winters ago, some friends invited my family and me to go snow skiing at Paoli Peaks, Indiana. I did not know how to snow ski, and I leaped at the thought of trying this new sport. On the first morning we entered the pro shop to rent all the gear and make decisions about whether or not to take lessons or go it alone. We decided to be adventurous and go it alone—no lessons. Kent and Celeste, the friends who invited us, knew how to ski and snowboard. He assured us that he could show us the basics, and we would be on our way down the slopes. My parents still tell me stories when my brother and I would fall asleep riding with them. When I was five I got a Mini Z 120 that was the best thing a five-year-old could get and let me tell you I rode the daylights out of that. One way I succeeded was by practicing. Everyday I would go to the hill in my neighborhood and practice. I would practice stopping, keeping my balance, and locking my ankles in place so my board wouldn’t shake. I would spend all evening after school riding down that hill and if it was the weekend, I would be outside all day! I brought my skateboard with me everywhere and I would practice on any hill I saw until my legs and feet hurt, I was determined to ride down that hill.
I was only ten years old when I began learning how to ride a bike which wasn’t easy for me but got the hang of like any other person would. My family members were annoyed of me constantly asking for someone to teach me. I wanted my own bike just like my sisters and be able to ride along with them and not bother with their rude remarks of not being able to ride a bike. So my father decided to help me learn in front of my building in the summer until I was able to ride on my own. My father's reason for teaching was for us to spend more quality time together since he was always working.
