Society's Impact
Homeless children are one of the most serious problems in the United States. Children who are homeless is the saddest thing in the World. All children deserve to have a home. Homelessness for children happens when the parents are no longer capable to pay for the house or have a drug addiction of some sort. Then they have nowhere else to go and they end up on the street with their children. When homeless children are in their school age, homelessness effects their whole education. This will eliminate the opportunity for them to have a successful education when they grow up. And then they suffer developmental issues because they have been experiencing the rough way of life at such a young age. Homeless children also have a higher risk and twice the risk of learning disabilities like dyslexia and speech problems. They also have a risk of the harmful effects of long-drawn-out stress. Because of all these emotional problems that homeless children have, they tend to have a hard time building relationships with other children. A lot of homeless children don’t have a lot of friends in school and this can cause them to be bullies. As these homeless children get older, they begin to skip school on a regular basis. A lot of these problems come up in elementary school and middle school, but these problems sometime come up when these kids are in high school. All the issues that come with being a homeless child have such a huge impact on them that they just immediately drop out of high school. This can mess up their whole life and the hopes that they have. This will then lead them to depend on drugs or gang related activities. As they grow up it will be hard for them to get a job and be successful in life. And there are also high chances that they will die very
