Recommended: Role and task of women in the military

This is a story both complicated and personal to me, to understand this story we will have to start at the beginning. I hope this story is both entertaining and heartwarming to you as I am sharing a personal event in my life. It was May 12, 2009 I was 19 years old when I saw her. Not just anyone but the love of my life was approximately five feet two inches tall, tan skin that was blemish free and radiant in the sunlight, her hair was neatly wrapped into a bun, poorly applied makeup, and a clean and pressed uniform with military issued glasses on that were commonly known as BCGs or birth control goggles. They are called that because when you wear them, they are supposed to scare the opposite sex away. Even with all her flaws she was still beautiful …show more content…

As I approached the computer lab at the Navy Exchange which is basically the navy’s version of Walmart but with better prices. I noticed her out of the many females I graduated with in my class at RTC Great Lakes. I approached her and before I could say anything she says “Hey! How are you doing?” Which was somewhat shocking to me and left me with a confused look on my face similar to the one Cuba Gooding Jr had on the movie Radio when the football coach asked him to help the football team. I awkwardly replied “Hey I’m Darrian, What’s your name?” She replied in a cute squeaky voice “I’m Charmaigne. Nice to meet you Darrian”. She was pleasantly nice, which confused me because I was accustomed to playing cat and mouse with the female species during my short nineteen years of existence. After a brief conversation I asked her if it was ok to add her to my Myspace page and she replied with a nod of her head then began giving me the information.
