I live on the Eastside of Chicago, Illinois, in the Chatham neighborhood.As a child, I grew up in a city name Madison, Wisconsin.Both cities have had good and bad impacts on my life.Madison has made me a good person because in their city it's more diverse everywhere, which made me learn how to adapt to people outside of my race.As far as learning how to talk proper, and knowing how to be professional around the professional adults.Madison has had a bad influence on me as well, like having too much freedom in school, which made me decide to skip class or just never go to school and that had a big effect on my grades and attendance.Chicago has given me good guidance because the city showed me that there are still good opportunities out there …show more content…

Although my family isn't really close to each other, my support system is still very strong everyone in my family wants to see me doing good instead doing poorly.They always encourage me to do good in school and have good grades, or they motivate to be successful in life. I actually feel like my family is my real support system to my future goals, yes I have friends and teachers that care about me as well, but i feel that is mandatory to make my family more happier no matter what. As I look back to my older family members I can remember some of them telling me that they didn’t make it to 12th grade or like my mom, she dropped out of school in 11th grade because she was having me, but she went back for her GED. She stated to me that she wouldn't ever want me to drop out, or even get a GED and that she would rather me graduate with my classmates and walk across the stage.I also have little cousins and little siblings that look up to me and I have to give them the same advice as my older family gives to me so that it can be passed down and make all the younger kids family stronger.I want to be a pediatrician and I have to strive just like my family wants me to in order to accomplish my goals in …show more content…

Off campus lunch is basically being able to leave the school and go get lunch anywhere you please for an hour.Being able to do that I took advantage and came back to school later than the time limit or I just never came which affected my grades badly.I wind up moving to Chicago , Illinois and going to school out here and everything changed dramatically.I got back on track with my grades because the school that I attend now has given me more structure and they care more about their students education.Im very please that I attend Excel Academy because now i'm graduating a year earlier than my actual graduation expected date.This gives me a chance to advance in my career as a pediatrician
