Throughout the world many people are born in different environments and communities. These environments can range from living in a rich community where opportunities are limitless to living in a poor community where very little is provided due to less opportunities and economic issues. People are separated in this community due to how people are born and raised in certain communities and this grows on to them for the rest of their lives especially when it comes to education. Relating to this throughout my entire life I have experienced both sides to these environments and community because of the progress me and my family has made throughout my life here and I would like to share how living in specific communities and environments can affect my education. …show more content…

from Vietnam after my older twin sister was born. We lived a very poor and struggling life because we have came here with nothing at all and had to work for it all. When I started school for the first time here. I did not get much opportunities as other students did because my parents could not provide it for me due to lack of money. So I did not do so well in school in the start. I had to work harder than others because those other students had families that provided as much as they could to their children. Even with my hard work I still could not catch up to them. Eventually this went on until I went to middle school because my family gradually economically went higher, but because of this I was somewhat behind of those students who had opportunities their families gave them. The significance this depicts is how lower income families have a disadvantage to those who have a higher income and it suggests how there is still a current separation in education due to the
