Fear can impact people in different ways. This can either be positive or negative. Fear can mostly have a negative impact.
Fear has a very strong impact on the brain. It will completely change the way we might think about certain things, like the way we process information. Dr. Bruce Perry states that “when people are frightened, intelligent parts of the brain cease to dominate.”
Sometimes depending on what fear you are trying to face, people refer to take refuge in harmful habits. This is the negative impact that it has. For example, some people go and start drinking alcohol or taking sedatives.

Fear can be something humans face even if they are less dangerous, for example public speaking, exams, a date, a new job, or even a party, anything that we find more challenging or difficult in some way.
In the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, fear and human behavior occur a lot. For example, when the tributes are in the arena, they are afraid of being killed therefore they will start killing each other.

On page 141 Peeta says “ I want do die as myself...I don’t want them to change me in there. Turn me into some kind of monster that i’m not.” what he is saying is that people change when they are in the arena, but they change because of fear. One kid in the past games would eat the tributes after he would kill them. This also shows how people are changed and that their behavior will show when they are fearful.
In the Hunger Games you can tell that people are afraid based on how the act especially in the arena. Such as when Katniss is going through the arena, she always has her bow ready to fire because she is scared. She is aware.There can be things that happen and that scar
