Martin Luther affected his society in three main ways. One way was by his faith, another by his 95 Theses and lastly, by his legacy.. By creating such strong influences, Martin Luther would unwillingly change the entire continent of Europe. Martin is probably most known for his religious and spiritual enlightenment. In the early years of Monastery, Martin Luther, was not able to find the spiritual enlightenment he so desired. He once was told by a mentor that if he focused primarily on Christ, Christ would later provide him with the guidance he needed. In later years, Martin Luther enrolled at the University of Wittenberg in Germany, and excelled greatly in his studies to later become a professor of theology. After years of studies Martin Luther would finally find the religious enlightenment he seeked. Though Luther believed well in the Roman Catholic beliefs, he started to question things. Luther would go on to deny these objectives by writing “Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences” also known as “The 95 Theses.” This would consist of questions that were up for debate. The 95 These would later become the basis for Protestant Reformation, was written in a way not accusing but simply questioning. In the first two theses, contained Lathers’ main focus, those of which God ask believers to repent rather than faith alone. The following 93 would simply argue that of the first two. The 95 Theses became widely popular and spread from Germany to Rome, although the Roman Catholic Church was not open about it and would hold up to their threat on Luther. On January 1521, Luther was excommunicated from the church, and the council also convicted the “Edict of Worms,” which would ban Lathers’ writings and declare him a convicted man.
