Hostile Interpretations of the Qur'an

The Islamic religion is a relatively new religion but still boasts a rich thousand year history. The Islamic faith is one of peace with many teaching that violence isn’t the answer and that there is often a peaceful solution. Even the religions founder Muhammad was sought out for his peace making skills and his ability to find a neutral answer to problems that the people around him faced, even stopping a civil war in his home town of mecca. While this may be a religion of peace, it has a long history that shows the opposite of that. Though out its history there are many times that the jewish faith has been persecuted by members of the Islamic faith, witch hostile interpritations of the Qur’an many have been led to belive that the jewish faith is at fault for the problems that they face.

The world is a hostile place, with war, famine disease and death common place in many place around the globe, and among the people of the planet few have such a bad reputation as the Muslim people, often associated with terrorism and violence, many people have come to fear anyone of this faith, few of which have faced such violence as the people of the Jewish faith from the Muslims. Anti-Semitic beliefs have long been found with in the Muslim people and while only a minority of the people hold theses belifs they have been given the lion’s share of the attention.
Often a problem for the most devote of the Muslims is that they will literary take the meaning from the Qur’an and not think about historical context or even what it would mean in todays understanding. ... While they work to diligently live their lives they feel that British and American imperialists are the main obstacle to the fulfillment of this utopian vision, and behind these obstacles are the Jewish leaders who have a goal of “global Jewry ( aaa ) .
While theses are the actions of the few, when large groups begin to assumble and preach their messages is when many start to worry such as at the Annual Conference of the Islamic Society of North America, where in 1989 Yusuf al-qardawi and one of the most eminent Islamic theolgians, stepped in front of 15,000 people an said in Arabic “On the hour of judgment, Muslims will fight the Jews and Kill them!” When the promenit leaders for many people can step up and publically declare that they will win agaist and kill another faith, it is clear to see that these ideas are deeply seated in the modern day Islamic faith.
