Honduras is a small Central American country (Euraque, 308). The country is very poor and has a low average income (308). Honduras's most leading production of goods are their bananas, which is their main source of income through the year (308). They grow their bananas in northern lowlands near the Caribbean Sea (308). The country has only four main land regions (309). They are: the mountainous Interior, the Northern Coast, the Northeastern Plain, and the Southern Coast (309). The Mountainous Interior covers over more than sixty percent of Honduras (309). This region includes thick forests of oaks and evergreens (310). The country has no live volcanos, but the countries next door do (309). The Northern Coast is the region where the bananas are produced (309). The Northern Coast is the only region with railroads in Honduras (309). There are some farming in the Aguán Valley and other river valleys (310). The Northeastern Plain is the least developed out of the four main land regions, and is most thinly populated region in the country (310). The region is mainly covered up by the tropical rain forest (310). This plain also has some grasslands and some pine and palm trees (310). The Southern Coast is the country's only outlet to the Pacific Ocean (310). You can find some mangrove trees along the shoreline

The people are friendly and charming; they would be happy to help one find their way if they need help. Although the contribution of mining to GDP has decreased over the last few decades, Honduras is now presented with an important opportunity to explore its untapped mineral potential. Currently, there are only seven metallic mines and about 300 non-metallic mines in Honduras. Yet, the country has significant reserves of iron oxide, and there are about 160 pending permit requests for exploration and feasibility studies. The revised Mining Law passed in April 2013 provides an improved framework to promote investment in the sector. In addition, offshore oil exploration is underway, and a commercially viable discovery could significantly improve the trade balance, encourage foreign investment and bolster government revenues, all of which would help to reinforce macroeconomic stability. However, for extractive industries to effectively promote long-term growth and sustainable social development appropriate transparency and accountability mechanisms must be in place. In light of Honduras fragile ecology, environmental protection must also be accorded a high priority. Finally, high-value extractable resources have a history of fomenting instability in developing countries, and steps must be taken to ensure that any new resource development does not further undermine the rule of
Honduras lacks a proper justice system. Criminals in Honduras are not punished for the laws they break. Not having a proper justice system can cause many problems. Without a justice system, criminals are able to get away with anything. People in Honduras will continue to break the law, murder people, or commit any crime they can if they are not punished for what they do. According to Meja, no one has been brought to justice for the murders of journalists in Honduras. Honduras does not have a proper judicial system which causes the country to receive a very high number...

A lot of the economic prosperity is gained from farming. Over fifty percent of the people work in agriculture (Honduras, n.d.). Farmers in Honduras first grow crops for themselves and their families, then they grow crops to sell and make money. They grow simple crops like, “maize (corn), beans, and plantains” (Honduras, n.d.). They then “raise a cash crop of coffee, cattle, cabbage, tomatoes, citrus fruit, maize, beans, or other vegetables” (Honduras, n.d.). The United States has even helped with a steady donation of wheat.
Costa Rica is a small, democratic country, located in Central America. Nicaragua is to the north of Costa Rica and Panama to the south and it is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. The country is very small, only about 32,000 square miles and is slightly smaller than the state of West Virginia (CIA, para. 2 2013). This beautiful country only covers about 0.03% of the earth’s surface, yet contains about 5% of the biodiversity in the world (Visit Costa Rica, para. 2). The climate is tropical and subtropical and has four volcanoes, two of which are still active (CIA, 2013, para. 2).
Had the kennedy Administration not imposed a naval blockade on cuba, but rather an airstrike diplomatic pressure on the soviet union or a full invasion onto the island country, the crisis could have led to devastating losses. In 1956 cuba was ruled by a military dictator, Batista. he took over by a guerrilla war and Two months after the triumph of the Guerrilla power, Castro paid his first visit to the USA where his story was romanticized by the media. He was going to have a meeting with the president be that as it may, the President declined to have a meeting with him, and went to the golf court. He was suited by Nixon, who was the VP around then. The beginning needs to start with finding quality sources of food that are more affordable for families in poverty, as well as, finding areas to grow the quality food needed to supply the country. The easy solution would be to ship food into the country, however, this can get incredibly costly for developing countries. Most of the commercial farmers in Honduras produce foods like bananas, plantains, rice, maize, and beans. While, these can be good sources of food, they are what are known as low-profit crops. The higher-profit crops are things like herbs, bamboo, and lavender.
What do you think of when you hear the name Honduras? A warm, tropical country? A culture filled country? The music, the food, the dances? “White” Hispanics on an area?... In my experience, the last thing that comes to mind when someone hears the name Honduras, is the association of dark-skinned, african- american descendants who speak spanish as well as have their own language, food, dances, and way of living, known as garifunas. Garifuna people are a mixed race whose descendants are from West Africa, Central Africa, the Caribbean, and the Arawak tribe who live along the coast of Central American countries such as Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, and Nicaragua. According to the article, “Garifuna,” “their phenotype reveals their African heritage,

Most of the citizens are Mestizo (a mix between European and Indian ancestry) and they pride themselves on their Guarani descent. 300,000 Brazilians, most of whom were farmers, immigrated to the East Region in the 1970s due to the less expensive land in Paraguay. Immigrants have come from all over the world, and in places like Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan. There are about 30,000 German speaking Mennonites in Paraguay, half of whom live in the Chaco. Indians make up 2 percent of Paraguay’s population, including the Ache, Chirpa, and Mbya in the East in addition to the Toba, Maskoy, and Lengua in the Chaco. Of course, there are other small Indian groups scattered throughout the country, although they face possible “extinction.” Many Indians receive support from missionary groups, as well as the Paraguayan Indian Institute. Nine-tenths of the population of Paraguay is Roman Catholic, with a minority of evangelical Protestants. The constitution, however, recognizes no official language which emphasizes their independence from the Roman Catholic Church. Social life in Paraguay revolves around the family, as godparents take over for the children if the parents are no longer able to provide for their children. Many of Paraguay’s values regard family, and family in itself is a large value to Paraguayan culture. Families eat meals together, which consist of traditional Guarani food

For currency one USD (US Dollar) would equal 107.95 JMD (Jamaican Dollar) but a dozen eggs would cost 253.78JMD which would equal to about $3 for us. But what are they like and what do they eat? That’s what I’m going to tell you.
