Homosexuality expresses a desire for the same respect, love, and commitment that is shared within heterosexual committed, relationships today. Through time, sexuality has been pulled back in forth, both with the government as well as with religion. The strict boundaries that are placed upon what homosexuals can and can not do are destroying their lives. There is a constant desire for acceptance, among those whom are against homosexual love, which decreases the availability for equal rights amongst homosexuals. Homosexuals are no different that ordinary people, they just have a different sexual preference.
Which is a false conclusion based on a bias premise. The only value of marriage that there should be is the unconditional and in this case untraditional love between two people. Not only, do people look down on gay marriage because it is untraditional but because it is different. Furthermore, when “Celebrities are breaking up, making up, and hav... ... middle of paper ... ... that. However all of the points may be arguable it still doesn’t change that fact that gay people are humans that love like any other person in this world and should not be excluded from marrying the person that they love.
You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.” –Rick Warren The issue in today’s society is that you either have to love homosexuals and agree with them or you have to hate them and disagree with how they live their life. I find this to be untrue. My opinion is that you can love them but that doesn’t mean you have to accept their lifestyle. Homosexuality has been in our world forever. There have been stories from ancient times mentioning people having homosexual activity.
Many times the Bible will also be used to refer to verses that condemn acts of homosexual sex. People who favor the morality of homosexuality find many things wrong with these arguments. To say that the only purpose of sex is to reproduce would be wrong because there are many examples of heterosexual couples who have sex without the intention of conception. Medical problems, protected sex, and just sex for fun are all reasons why
Many people actually believe that homosexuals could simply choose to be heterosexual if they wished. But the reality is that very few do have a choice; any more than very few heterosexuals could choose which sex to find them attracted to. Additionally, many people continue to believe the propaganda from right-wing religious organizations that homosexuality is about nothing but sex, considering it to be merely a sexual perversion. Homosexual relationships are just like heterosexual ones, and are much more about love and affection than they are about sex. And this is what homosexual relationships are based on: mutual attraction, love and affection.
They have classified this people as homophobic. Homophobic means that you are scared of homosexual's. I think i made my opinions on this issue known, I support homosexuality as long as you are happy then i really don't care who you love. It still makes me mad that people out there are homophobic. To mean the best people are homosexual's, they will be honest and tell you what they think but they will also be the people that if you want to have a good time you can count on them.
In my personal opinion, gay marriage should be globally accepted The biggest misunderstanding in this hot topic is that those of the gay community have a "choice" to whom they can feel attracted to but simply choose to be gay. Just as heterosexuals do not "choose" who they are attracted to, neither do homosexuals. Multiple anti-gay groups claim that “homosexuality is preventable and treatable” as well as "living as a homosexual is not as happy-go lucky as frequently portrayed in the entertainment media.” How can someone with no personal experience of being gay say that homosexuality can be "changed," or even whether a homosexual can be happy or not? What about the research done proving that homosexuality is purely genetic? No one "chooses" to live a life filled with prejudice and discrimination.
Everyone in our world should be entitled to achieve happiness as long as it doesn’t interfere with someone else’s happiness. I believe that the Divine Command Theory is a sound argument if the homosexual couple was part of a religious community that condemned it, but one should not force their religion upon others nor should religion be a part of the government policies. Homosexuals have should have the same rights as heterosexuals, and denying them rights based on religious pretexts, or the unknown laws of nature, is severely unjust.
From the beginning of time, homosexuality has been, and continues to be an extremely sensitive and controversial topic among the masses. Individuals constantly find themselves lost in seas of chatter, participating in riveting debates regarding whether or not homosexuality is born or made. Every human being has their own set of values and beliefs, but both society and the church 's perspective of the issue have changed dramatically over the years. Although the prospect of same sex attraction has always existed, it was not until the mid-nineteenth century that individuals were shamed and ridiculed for being 'mentally ill '. Homosexuality first arose as a political issue in the 1950 's, when the particular sexual orientation was considered
However, due to conservative traditional and religious beliefs, the integration of homosexuals in society is often met with resistance. It can therefore be said that societal conservative tendencies have led to the intolerance of homosexuality therefore causing the inequality of LGBT men and women. In order to challenge normative constructions on sexuality one must first acknowledge that discrimination is still evident and continues to be a reason behind socio-political exclusion. The operations behind social policies cause oppression and isolation, and only re-thinking our approach in delivering new policies can hopefully one day meet the needs for a diverse lifestyle or in the words of Macklemore “It's human rights for everybody, there is no difference!”
