High School Accomplishments

To have that scary thought about entering high school as a freshman is a thought that should not be stressed about. What that means is that my freshman year of high school was a great year. I had a ton of successes, and I loved every single accomplishment. The accomplishments aren’t that hard to find if you look in all the right places. For example, I found accomplishments everywhere from the soccer field while on my school’s varsity team, to geometry, with the best math teacher ever, Mr. Tischler, to the final project in game design, when I designed my first ever game. These accomplishments were no easy feat. None of this would have been accomplished if I hadn’t worked hard. It took a lot of running, sweat, and even a concussion to …show more content…

Geometry this year was hard. I wasn’t really understanding the material too well, and yet I was able to do some of the tests/quizzes. The most successful test I had all year was when I got a 57%. Just kidding. I retook the test that I got a 57% on and after the retake, I learned that I got a 91.7% on that test. I was so happy that day. I had no idea what I was doing on the day before the first time around, and didn’t get home until 9:50. I didn’t understand the material, and still went and took the test. This didn’t end well for me, because of the 57%. I then knew that I would have to retake it for a better grade. I used my one request to retest for the quarter, studied hard for the next week or so, and retook the test. You should have seen the look on my face when I found out that I got a 91.7% on the retaken test. I could not hold in my exclamations of surprise, and I was very pleased with myself. Mr. Tischler even said that I had shown significant improvement. Mr. Tischler was my geometry teacher, and by far the best math teacher ever. He made classes interesting, not only because of the opportunities to give points back, but also because of the tangents that occasionally went on in class. One day, Mr. Tischler found Mr. Sadusky’s laser pointer, and started pointing it at certain areas where we could see it, and that laser pointer made us go crazy trying to catch the light, just like a cat. Geometry was hard, despite the test that I took twice, but it doesn’t even compare to game design, when I learned how to program things using game maker for the first time in my entire life, which lead to me designing my first ever
