Baseball is too slow some people say while others like it just the way it is. Networks worry their TV ratings will go down, but if you are a true fan then you appreciate the little things in the game. In my opinion baseball is not losing its cool; it is at one of its highest peaks of popularity in a long time, there are many exciting young players coming up with future hall of fame players alongside them, and the rules that are being changed could ruin the game.

But, in 2016 the average game for football is just as long as a baseball game. I know people say football is more exciting, but in reality there is the same amount of stops in the game if not more. Incomplete passes occur, timeouts and penalties are called, and the commercials popping up more and more. Some people might disagree, but the real beauty of the game in baseball is there is no time limit. Each team can not just sit and waste clock like many sports; they have to give the other player a chance to do their job. Now, the most discussed topic that the commissioner wants to implant in the MLB is a 20 second pitch clock. Baseball is a mental sport where you need to gather yourself sometimes and not be rushed. Many pitchers have talked about the future rule and they disagree with it. Communication between the catcher and manager is very important and if the clock is counting down the players have to make a split second decision they might regret later.
